Overview
Social Admirer is a social discovery service that allows users to send anonymous Likes to Instagram accounts. When two users Like each other and meet the applicable verification requirements, Social Admirer may reveal the Match to them.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices available to you when using Social Admirer and its related services, including our Instagram-based account verification service.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create or use a Social Admirer account, we may collect information such as:
- Your email address or other authentication information.
- Your Instagram username.
- Your Instagram-scoped user identifier when you verify your Instagram account.
- Your profile image, bio, and other profile information associated with your Social Admirer profile.
- Information necessary to associate your Social Admirer account with your verified Instagram account.
If you use a third-party sign-in provider, such as Apple or Google, we may receive information from that provider as permitted by your settings and the provider's policies.
Instagram Verification Information
Social Admirer may ask you to verify control of an Instagram account by sending a unique verification code to a Social Admirer-operated Instagram account.
As part of this process, we may receive and process:
- Your Instagram-scoped user identifier.
- The contents of messages you send to our verification account.
- The verification code contained in your message.
- Information necessary to determine whether verification was successful.
We use this information primarily to confirm that you control the Instagram account you are attempting to verify and to prevent fraudulent or unauthorized verification attempts.
Likes and Matches
When you use Social Admirer, we collect information about Likes you send and receive, including the accounts involved and when the interaction occurred.
Likes are designed to remain anonymous to the recipient unless the sender is revealed through a feature of the service or the users mutually Like each other and a Match is created.
We also maintain information about Matches and related interactions necessary to provide the service.
Profile Views
We may collect information about visits to Social Admirer profiles, including information necessary to provide profile-view history and related features.
Some profile-view information may only be available through certain features or subscription levels.
Purchases and Subscriptions
If you purchase a subscription, Reveal, or other paid feature, your purchase is processed through the applicable app marketplace and our purchase-management providers.
We may receive information about your purchase, such as:
- The product purchased.
- Subscription status.
- Purchase and expiration dates.
- Transaction identifiers.
- Information necessary to verify purchases and provide paid features.
We do not directly receive or store your full payment-card information.
Push Notifications
If you enable push notifications, we may store a device push token and related technical information so that we can send notifications about activity such as Likes and Matches.
You can disable push notifications through your device settings.
Technical Information
We may automatically collect limited technical information necessary to operate, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot Social Admirer, such as device or application information, request logs, error information, and security-related records.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and maintain Social Admirer accounts and profiles.
- Authenticate users.
- Verify control of Instagram accounts.
- Send, receive, and manage Likes.
- Detect mutual Likes and create Matches.
- Provide profile-view and other app features.
- Process and verify purchases and subscriptions.
- Send requested or enabled notifications.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, spam, and unauthorized activity.
- Maintain the security and reliability of Social Admirer.
- Diagnose technical problems and improve the service.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
Public Profile Information
Social Admirer may provide users with a public profile link, such as admr.me/username.
Information displayed on a public profile may include information such as your Instagram username, profile image, bio, and other information you choose or authorize Social Admirer to display.
Public profile pages may be accessible to people who are not signed in to Social Admirer.
Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information with service providers that help us operate Social Admirer, such as providers for hosting, databases, authentication, notifications, analytics, purchase processing, and other technical infrastructure.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
- Investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
- Protect the rights, safety, security, and integrity of Social Admirer, our users, or others.
- Complete a merger, acquisition, financing, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to applicable law.
Your use of third-party services such as Instagram, Apple, Google, the Apple App Store, or Google Play may also be governed by those services' own privacy policies.
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Social Admirer, maintain the integrity and security of the service, comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud and abuse, and resolve disputes.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and why we collected it.
Certain limited information may remain after an account is deleted when necessary to preserve the operation or integrity of features involving other users, comply with legal requirements, prevent abuse, or maintain appropriate business records.
Account and Data Deletion
You may delete your Social Admirer account using the account deletion functionality provided in the app.
You may also contact us regarding privacy questions or requests concerning your personal information.
Some information may be retained after deletion when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or the operation of interactions involving other users.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information handled by Social Admirer. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Children's Privacy
Social Admirer is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Your Choices
Depending on how you use Social Admirer, you may be able to:
- Update certain account or profile information.
- Delete your account.
- Disable push notifications through your device settings.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions through the applicable app marketplace.
- Contact us with questions or requests concerning your personal information.
Additional rights may be available depending on where you live.
